Through my relative's hospitalization, I started to question human's interference and medical processes on preserving life, when death itself is inevitable. The mutated neck represents a surreal depiction of human's fragility - surviving but not alive. Also criticising on the role of bystanders - does the fear of losing someone give you the right to prolong/take control of the patients' lives?
